The Best Route and My Mobile Market are teaming up with the SHARE Food Program to bridge the food access gap for Montgomery County seniors. Learn how your organization can host a market and help seniors redeem their FMNP checks for fresh, local produce.

At The Best Route, we believe that everyone deserves dignified access to high-quality, fresh food—especially our seniors. As we move into the 2026 season, we are thrilled to highlight our ongoing collaboration with the SHARE Food Program to streamline the distribution and redemption of Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) checks across Montgomery County.

Bridging "The Last Mile" for Seniors

For many older adults in our community, the "last mile" is the biggest hurdle to healthy eating. Even with FMNP checks in hand, physical transportation barriers can make it nearly impossible to reach a traditional farmers market.

That is where My Mobile Market comes in. We aren't just a grocery store; we are a "farmers market on wheels" designed to travel exactly where we are needed most—housing communities, senior centers, and community hubs.

How the SHARE Partnership Works

Our goal is to create a seamless, one-stop experience for seniors. Through this partnership:

SHARE coordinates the distribution of FMNP checks to eligible seniors.

My Mobile Market arrives on-site with a vibrant selection of PA-grown produce.

Seniors can immediately redeem their checks for fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables without ever having to leave their community grounds.
