Farm and Food Hub

We didn’t start out as farmers. But we’ve always believed that mobile markets should be rooted in community. In early 2025, that belief led us to Tomorrow’s Homestead in Gilbertsville, PA.

At Tomorrow’s Homestead, a vision of a collaborative growing space for small-scale agriculture came to fruition. Today, The Best Route is proud to be headquartered on land where we cultivate our own quarter-acre plot alongside six other emerging growers.

Because Mobile Markets are drivers for local economic impact and food system change, and because we want to provide our customers with high-quality produce, we also source from exceptional and established local growers in Southeastern PA.

Our hands-on connection to the soil ensures that the produce on our mobile market is as fresh, local, and community-driven as it gets.

The Best Route Farm

The Best Route grows a variety of vegetables throughout the year like kale, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, herbs, squash and garlic. We work side-by-side with fellow farmers—learning, collaborating, and experimenting with regenerative practices on shared land. This unique partnership allows us to:

  • Grow with Integrity: We produce our own seasonal crops with a "boots-on-the-ground" understanding of the local soil.

  • Collaborate: By working alongside other small-scale growers, we can aggregate a diverse variety of the area’s best produce.

  • Equitable Food Access: Fresh produce should be available to everyone. By growing our own food and partnering with our neighbors, we ensure that My Mobile Market carries the highest quality foods.

The Best Route Local Grower Network

At The Best Route, we believe our food system is only as strong as the connections within it. By partnering with growers and producers in Southeastern PA, we bring the season’s finest harvests directly to your table while reinvesting in our neighbors. Every farm is unique—offering different strengths, soil, and expertise—and we celebrate those differences. Through our growing food hub, we’re turning individual small-scale farms into a powerful, integrated network that nourishes us all.
