From Our Kitchen to Your Table: Introducing the 2026 Weekly Supper Club

More Than Just a Processing Space When we first envisioned our licensed processing kitchen in Gilbertsville, we knew it would be a hub for local food entrepreneurs and a place to wash and prep the harvest from our farm. But as we look toward 2026, we’re adding a new ingredient to the mix: The Best Route Supper Club.

What is the Supper Club? We believe that "food access" isn't just about getting groceries into a home—it’s about what happens next. It’s about the joy of cooking a seasonal meal and the confidence to try a vegetable you’ve never seen before.

Starting in the 2026 season, our kitchen will transform once a week into a test lab for seasonal eating. Each week, we’ll highlight a "Hero Ingredient" currently growing on the farm or available on our mobile market.

What to Expect:

  • The Weekly Recipe Reveal: We’ll share a chef-curated recipe designed to be simple, nutritious, and affordable.

  • The "Chef’s Tote" Sneak Peek: Many of these recipes will eventually become part of our Chef’s Totes—our curated recipe bundles that give you everything you need for a complete meal in one bag.

  • Virtual "Cook-Alongs": We’ll be sharing tips from our kitchen on how to prep, store, and preserve the best of Pennsylvania’s seasons.

Trialing the Harvest Why are we doing this now? Because great food takes practice! This year, our team is busy in the kitchen testing everything from garlic scape pestos to heirloom tomato preserves. We are refining our processes to ensure that when the 2026 season kicks off, our community has access to high-quality, value-added products that make healthy eating the easiest choice in the room.

Get a Seat at the (Digital) Table While our 2026 physical kitchen events are still in development, the conversation starts now. Follow along as we share our "test kitchen" successes (and the occasional blooper!) right here on the blog.

What’s one local vegetable you’ve always wanted to cook but weren’t sure how to start? Let us know in the comments, and it might just become a 2026 Supper Club feature!
